Activities
St. Bernard School offers extracurricular activities that many of the students participate in throughout the school year. These activities are both fun and educational.
Students in fourth through sixth grade join a book club. The book club meets one day a month over lunch to discuss the book they just read. Along with discussions, students typically participate in an activity relating to the book.
French Club meets for one hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The teachers are elementary education students from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). They teach French history, culture, food, music and, of course, language.
Kiwanis Club sponsors the K-Kids Program for students in fifth and sixth grade. Meetings are held during the school day. Officers are elected and students choose their service projects.
