Music

The music program at St. Bernard School is diverse and easily matches, if not exceeds music programs in the public schools. Music at St Bernard includes music class, chorus and band.  At St. Bernard School music is an important part of the academic curriculum.

General music classes are given every week to students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Students also have the option of participating in chorus, band and guitar club.

Music students regularly participate in concert performances:

Christmas concert: December 17, 2009

Bandfest: May 2010

Spring concert: May 17, 2010

Art

The art program at St. Bernard School is a process of developing both mental and motor skills - starting in kindergarten and progressing through sixth grade. As students use a hands-on approach in creating a variety of personal artistic creations, they are surrounded by visuals that support the concepts being explored.

St. Bernard students have a weekly art class taught by a certified art teacher. Students participate in an annual art exhibit. This year’s exhibit is May 12, 2010.
