Financial Aid
St. Bernard School acknowledges the need for many families to receive financial assistance in order to attend our institution. Our policy is that no family will be turned away because of an inability to pay tuition. St. Bernard School will accept applications for financial aid through the FACTS tuition service and create aid packages for those who qualify.
After submitting an application to St. Bernard School, families may apply to FACTS. FACTS is a private corporation, which will confidentially evaluate your financial circumstances and recommend a financial aid amount to the school for your family.
Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) is a program which allows Pennsylvania businesses to donate a portion of their tax burden to a foundation. This donation creates scholarship grants for students through our school. Money is available for qualified students in prekindergarten through sixth grade.
Some of these foundations include:
V The Scholarship Partners Foundation
Bridge Educational Foundation and Bravo Foundation are scholarship funds through public private partnerships with award money available for K to 6th grade families. These may require community service, submission of financial records and notarized letters. These applications are usually due in the late spring and awards are usually given in the early fall.
Parish Supported Financial Aid
Parishes throughout the diocese also collect funds to support our Catholic schools. These funds may be awarded by the principal as financial aid, or used as general support for operating costs.
Diocesan Educational Endowment Funds
These funds are available through a permanent endowment established by the Diocese of Greensburg to provide financial aid to its students.
Tuition Grant Fund
This fund was established with the support of the Parent Teacher Group (PTG) and is used for tuition emergencies experienced by families during the course of the school year.
FACTS Tuition Management Program
St. Bernard School has made arrangements with FACTS for online tuition payment. Parents can make arrangements for online payment through e-Cashier. Visit the e-Cashier site for detailed information or to set up payment.
